JOEY'S BIO
Beginning at a very young age, Joey Hamrick has worked as a professional in the entertainment industry. Growing up in St. Louis, Joey was fortunate to study with some of the most acclaimed teachers and choreographers in the Midwest as well as those touring from the east and west coast. As a member of the Mid America Dance Company, Joey was a featured dancer while performing in the well-known Midwest modern company. In addition to live stage, Joey has appeared in print campaigns for Ralston Purina, R.C. Cola, Trend Masters, and Dillards. Joey began his higher education as a dancer at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Other opportunities soon led him to Oklahoma to complete his studies.
Upon graduation from Oklahoma City University as a Performance Major, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dancing and acting. After arriving in Los Angeles, Joey has continued his training with many prominent Hollywood choreographers. His west coast career began to boom shortly after he toured with R&B artist Jahzmyne, and pop vocal star Alexandra Bachelier. Joey would soon be cast in the Mission America World Tour starring, Latin-American icon, Dante Gebel. His television credits include Scrubs, Thirty Days Until I'm Famous, and various other appearances on Disney, VH1, and NBC. Commercially, Joey has worked with Busch Stadium, Tjelmeland Tires, and Ralston Purina. He can be seen in Herbie: Fully Loaded, Downtown the movie, Elizabethtown, The Perfect Lie, and Zombie Prom featuring Ru Paul. Currently, Joey is working on the Sebastian Hair Products National Tour and continues to enjoy teaching dance at several studios in the L.A. area. He looks forward to the future and is excited to be a part of Flow 40 Dance Workshops as it continues to grow.
